More About Water proofing the Whole Earth Ball.
1. The Varieties of Waterproofing and Glues Are Many. Some
Good and Some Not So Good.
1a. Below is what we used. We know from 2 year E.B. Experience that this works well.
2. We used West Marine Fiberglass System (there are others)
with 4 Layers of Fiberglass Cloth On the Bottom Panels Levels.
3. Above Level # 3 We used a Little less cloth 4, 3, 2, 1, up
to the Water Level Point.
4. Above and Below the Water Level We Used the most Compatible Materials
including Strips of Fiberglass Tape and Resin, Liquid Nail Glue, Body Filler to
Overcoat and Cover All the Joints, Cracks, Screw Heads / Holes and Seams to get the
Entire E.B. surface fairly smooth.
5. At this Point Your Earth Ball is Ready for Three Coats of Paint.
Most All Oil Paints Work Well.

1. The Doors, Windows, Vents Can Now be Cut Out of Your E.B.
Home.
2. Windows, We Cut the Top Row of Pentagons in Half, Put Hinges On the
Upper Sides, So the Now Half Pentagon Would OPEN Fold Up and Outward.
2a. We then Put Tarp/Canvas Material to Cover and Connect the
TOP OUTSIDE Edges of the two Pentagon Halves. This Overhang works well keeping
light-wind-straight-down rain/snow outside the Inside of Your E.B. See Picture.
3. This design, Window/Opening can then be Screened in, for
bugs.
4. The Opening/Window can then be Folded Down At Night.
or Not.
5. NOTE: Doors and Windows Can be Fastened Down with 12 or so
2 inch. Screwing
through the half Pent panel into the 2 X 4 X 27 1/2 in. struts. For/During
Heavy Storms and Hurricanes.
5. NOTE: Standard, Opening or Not, Skylights, Doors and Windows Can
Be Used, the Choices, Shapes, Construction Martial's, Sizes, etc. Will All Work.
Some Better than Others, It's Your Choice.
6. I Never Drill/Make A Hole of Any Kind Below A Boat
Waterline. Better to Use A Hand/Foot or Elec. Bilge Pump, to Remove Water, Even
for Earth Ball Homes and/or Green Houses On Land. It Is Nice Comforting To
Know That Your E.B. Will Float.

1. The Storage Area Under the Floor of Your Earth Ball Home
CAN BE Used as Dry Storage.
2. It's Best To Put In Two Automatic, Float Activated (boat)
Bilge Pump.
1a. NOTE: A Plexi Glass Window Built Into the E.B. Floor is
very nice to have, You Can then See Into the Bilge / Basement of Your E.B.
easily to CK its Condition, Dry, Damp, Wet, Leaks, Batteries, etc.
Two thing to keep in mind about keeping Batteries High In the Storage Area,
Where as Rain Water Storage is OK Down Below the Floor. Remember " the Higher the Dryer ".

Enmity Plastic Bottles, Other.
